Minister of Education Prof. (Mrs.) Ruqayyatu A. Rufai as ordered all Federal polytechnic students to pay N5000 (five thousand naira only) as damage fee for the July 2011 destruction done in the school.
This will be payed by student who were within the school calender when the destruction were carried out.
It will be recalled that on the 27th of July, 2011, that Nekede Poly studentscarried out a mass protest, which resulted in the destruction of the polytechnic properties.
Among the properties destroyed included the school gate, the SUG secretariat, over 17 vehicles, and others.
This fee is payable in the bank, as it is pasted on the admin block in the school. The bank and its account number will not be shown here for security reasons.
